Online Business Woman Named to Most Prestigious List in America

Jinger Jarrett, online businesswoman, has been selected for the "Marquis Who's Who of American Women". Marquis Who's Who is considered to be the oldest and most prestigious list in America.

Jarrett is still not sure why she was selected. "I was always a rebel growing up. Got in plenty of trouble. Just ask my parents. I've done a lot since then though. My "adventures” finally seem to be paying off."

She credits the Army for giving her a chance to turn her life around.

A former US Army soldier and military journalist, Jarrett served in both the US Army and the Michigan Army National Guard. An honorable discharge and service in the Guard were enough to go to college on the GI Bill. While in college, she was selected for the Golden Key National Honor Society, who only invites the top 15 per cent of college juniors and seniors to join.

She served during the Beirut conflict in the 80s and qualified to join the American Legion. Currently, she is a Legion Post member in Belton Post #51.

"I credit the Army with giving me my start. They really teach you discipline, pride, make you want to work hard to succeed. They show you how to dream, and dream big. Being in the Army probably saved my life because I was definitely on the wrong road as a teenager," Jarrett said.

Since then, Jarrett has worked in various industries. After working as a military journalist in the National Guard and as a newspaper reporter, she also worked in a Native American Indian casino in Michigan and for the "Anderson Independent-Mail" as both a circulation district manager and a carrier. Much of her work required her to write, including newspaper articles, reports and memos.

Currently, Jarrett runs an online business, SmallBusinessHowTo.com, http://www.smallbusinesshowto.com, and teaches others how to start their own businesses. She also runs a writing site, as well as a marketing site for writers. She teaches marketing at both ISO Trainer and Net Profit Secrets and shows online businesses how to use writing to promote their businesses more effectively.

Jarrett is the daughter of Hugh and Jimmie Brown, and John Jarrett of Toccoa. She lives in Anderson, SC with her daughter, Danielle, and attends Newspring Community Church.

"I wish I could say that all of my achievements are only mine, but they're not. There's been a lot of great people who have come through my life and taught me so many things. I can thank them now for helping to achieve my success. I'm grateful for every one of them."
